There are basically two big schools of thought regarding supplement use: One believes that supplements are unnecessary and potentially harmful while the other side believes they are essential in reaching fitness goals and health. I personally think that the right answer lies somewhere in between the two.

Below I have compiled a list of the most common supplement pros and cons. Before thinking of using a supplement it is important to make sure that it is something needed and wont become a waste of time or money.

Here are a few key questions that you should ask yourself prior to taking supplements...

1. What are the supplement pros and the supplement cons?
2. Are my goals similar to what supplements can provide?
3. Do I consider my diet whole and complete?
4. Do I have enough time to devote to research prior to purchasing a supplement?
5. Do I know where to look and purchase supplements?

If your answer was NO to any of the questions, you may want to reconsider taking supplements as your cons may outweigh your pros. You may benefit from seeking insight from a professional such as a personal trainer or doctor. However, if you answered YES to all of these basic questions than taking a supplement may be beneficial to you and your overall goals. If interested in supplement use, please visit the Fitness Store. I offer quality products that are sure to help you succeed and a portion of all the sales help keep this site active!
